Health SciTech Presents Four Papers at IEEE/ACM CHASE 2026

Health SciTech Presents Four Papers at IEEE/ACM CHASE 2026 August 4, 2026

The Health SciTech Group presented four papers at the IEEE/ACM Conference on Connected Health: Applications, Systems and Engineering Technologies (CHASE 2026), held August 4–6 in Pittsburgh.

  • Membership Inference Attacks Expose Participation Privacy in ECG Foundation Encoders examines whether reusable ECG models can reveal that an individual or cohort participated in model training. Read the paper.
  • CARE-ECG: Causal Agent-based Reasoning for Explainable and Counterfactual ECG Interpretation introduces a causally structured framework for more traceable and reliable ECG-language reasoning. Read the paper.
  • Personalized Counterfactual Framework: Generating Potential Outcomes from Wearable Data uses longitudinal wearable data to explore individualized “what-if” scenarios around health behaviors. Read the paper.
  • Beyond AHI: An Interpretable Causal-Discovery-Guided Framework for Sleep Recovery in Connected Health proposes a multidomain Sleep Recovery Score linked to patient-reported recovery. Read the paper.

Congratulations to our students, faculty, and collaborators whose work advances privacy, explainability, personalization, and patient-centered connected health.
